At the pub, mourning over what was mine.
I'm hungry but I'll drink,
So pass me a glass of wine.
And over it I'll think.
That's when she comes in from the cold.
"Be aware of her," I'm told.
She sits beside me and winks.
One look and my heart sinks.
Gazes at me and asks-
"Will you grab me a beer?"
One sip and there was nothing to fear.
"Let's live life like we're in some mask"
In a sling we're out,
And then came the making-out,
With a person like her? There's no doubt.
"Let's make the most of the night!," she shouts.
And we're off in her 70s ride.
Couldn't help but be a little wild.
Adrenaline pumped in like a tide.
Driving is her only mild side.
Parked in through the drive way,
Kissed our way to the bedroom,
Will the Half Moon beg me to stay?
What if she just throws me away?
Came up close and cuddled me up.
The naked flames banished.
This feels like falling in love.
All the walls broke and vanished.
Insanity struck,
Cupid's ready,
But I don't need no luck.
My heartbeat ain't steady.
We could do this all night.
It's not what people would advice on a first date,
But when you know it's right,
There's no need to wait.
It's magical & legit.
A fantasy that's surreal.
No cheating & lying was the deal.
Now an impression turned into seal.
Don't wait for the perfect moment,
Go and make a perfect moment.
There's always light at the tunnel end,
Or just go on whilst the Half Moon bends.
